Buying

Do you have my part?

Every listing on the site is a real part we currently have. If you can't see what you need, search by part name or filter by truck — and if it still isn't there, email us at info@vintagetruckparts.co.za with the year, make, model and part. Some stock sits in the yard waiting to be photographed and listed — we may have it.

Will it fit my truck?

Each listing names the year, make and model the part is for. When we know a part is interchangeable across years or sister models, we say so. If you're unsure, email us your truck's VIN and we'll confirm before you buy.

Are these parts new, used, or restored?

Almost everything we sell is vintage and used. We describe the condition honestly and show real photos of each item — wear, patina and minor imperfections are expected. Where a part is NOS (new old stock) or has been restored, the listing says so explicitly.

Payment

How can I pay?

Two options at checkout:

  • Card / instant EFT via Payfast. Your order is marked paid automatically once Payfast confirms.
  • Manual EFT — pay by standard bank transfer to our published account, then upload your proof. We verify within four business hours.

Is Manual EFT safe?

Yes — it's a normal South African bank transfer to our company account. Our bank details are shown on the EFT checkout page; never accept bank details sent to you any other way. Your proof of payment is stored privately and only the owner can see it.

When does my order become “paid”?

For Payfast: within seconds, once Payfast notifies us. For Manual EFT: once we've verified your proof of payment (under four business hours during operating days). You'll receive an email confirming the change either way.

Shipping

Where do you ship to?

Anywhere in South Africa. Delivery is calculated and shown at checkout. We don't ship internationally in V1.

How long does delivery take?

We dispatch paid orders within two business days and add a tracking number to the order. From there, delivery time depends on the courier and destination — typically two to five business days in main centres, longer to outlying areas.

Can I collect in person?

For larger items (whole trucks, panels, big assemblies) yes — we arrange this case by case. Email us before you check out.

Returns and refunds

Can I return a part if I change my mind?

You can cancel an online order within seven days of delivery under ECTA s44, with return shipping at your cost. We can't take back parts that have been fitted, modified or used in a vehicle.
