We collect the following personal information:

• Account details — your email address and name, provided when you sign in (we use passwordless email sign-in links).
• Garage and wishlist — the trucks you save and the parts you add to your wishlist.
• Orders — the items you buy, your delivery address, and your order history.
• Payment information — for card and instant-EFT payments, your details are entered directly with our payment provider (Payfast); we do not see or store your card details. For manual EFT, we store the proof-of-payment document you upload.
• Sell-Your-Parts submissions — if you offer parts to us, the name, email address, phone number, location and photos you submit.
• Communications — messages you send us by email.
• Technical and usage data — essential cookies needed for sign-in and your cart, and, only with your consent, anonymous website-usage analytics.

We use your personal information to:

• create and manage your account;
• process, verify, fulfil and deliver your orders;
• send you transactional emails — sign-in links and order updates;
• send wishlist price-drop digests, which you can opt out of in your account settings at any time;
• respond to Sell-Your-Parts submissions and support requests;
• understand and improve how the site is used (analytics, only with your consent);
• meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We process your information on the basis of performing our contract with you, your consent (for analytics and marketing emails), our legitimate interests in running and improving the store, and our legal obligations.

Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your cart, and store your cookie-consent choice. The site cannot work without them.

Analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics) help us see how the site is used. They load only if you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner shown on your first visit. Choosing “Essential only” means no analytics cookies are set.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the operators who help us run the store, each bound to process it on our instruction and protect it:

• Payfast — payment processing for card and instant-EFT payments.
• Resend — delivery of our transactional and digest emails.
• Cloudflare — storage of listing photos and uploaded proof-of-payment files.
• Vercel — website hosting and, with your consent, analytics.
• Neon — hosting of our database.
• Courier companies — we share your delivery address so your order can be delivered.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Some of our operators store data on servers outside South Africa, including in the European Union and the United States. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we rely on operators who are subject to laws or binding agreements that provide a comparable level of protection, as required by section 72 of POPIA.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Order and payment records — including EFT proof of payment — are kept for as long as South African tax and company law requires (generally five years). When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure, including encrypted connections, access controls, and signed, time-limited links for private files such as proof-of-payment uploads. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the Information Regulator if a breach affects you.

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or delete your information;
• object to processing, and withdraw consent for analytics or marketing emails at any time;
• lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (details below).
